Re(Consumption)

This work centers around habitual action and re(action). I believe in the ritual and resonance of making. this piece explores my own cyclical rhythms of guilt and self-cleansing through the actions of language and erasure.

Through the carving of text onto soap, I utilize obscured language to look at my own chaotic emotions.

The process of licking the soap is a method of cleansing and punishment as a simultaneous response to guilt and self-loathing.
